Password Safety Still Matters—Here’s How to Do It Right
Updated: Jun 15, 2025

Strong passwords are still one of the easiest and most effective ways to protect your accounts. Here are a few best practices for keeping your login credentials secure:
Use a passphrase – Instead of a single word, try a phrase with random words (e.g., CoffeeBearSwimsuit92!). It’s easier to remember and harder to crack.
Never reuse passwords – If one account gets compromised, reused passwords put all your accounts at risk.
Turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA) – Even if a hacker steals your password, MFA can block unauthorized access.
Avoid personal info – Don’t include your name, birthday, or anything easily found online.
Use a password manager – Tools like Bitwarden or 1Password can create and store strong passwords securely. Don't put it on a sticky note in front of the computer.
Cybercriminals don’t need advanced tools—sometimes, they just need a weak password. Protect yourself by staying one step ahead.
