The Price of Negligence: A Case Study on Mitigating Risk

The Price of Negligence: A Case Study on Mitigating Risk is a recent project conducted by Azumer Water, a fictional non-governmental organization (NGO) that provides clean drinking water to urban communities in the southwestern United States affected by natural or manmade disasters. As a part of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) emergency relief efforts, Azumer Water aims to help communities restore and mitigate risks associated with water contamination and scarcity. This case study explores the costs and consequences of negligence in addressing water-related issues, and the steps taken to mitigate these risks for the future.
